This board kept me going when I was struggling so I want to share my story to give others hope that they might yet get there happy ending.
I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis in January 2013 after years of bladder, bowel and period issues. Turns out my i had large endometriomas in my left ovary, which in turn was stuck to my bowel and there were lesions of endometriosis just about everywhere else. The doctor told me if I wanted children I needed to start trying immediately. I was booked in at a specialist centre to have the endometriosis removed but before I got called up to have the operation, and after only four months of actively trying, I was pregnant. I had my first little boy in April 2014. At Christmas 2014 we started trying again, four months later we conceived again. Sadly we lost that baby at 10 weeks. I was desperate to become pregnant again and with every month that passed I get more despondent - particularly when I passed the usual four month mark and it hasn't happened. I was worried my son would never have a sibling. After the miscarriage my endometriosis pain was far worse and spread to my right side. I was on the endo diet, temping, using OPKs and in desperation started acupuncture after Christmas. I was booked in for the operation to separate my adhesions and remove the endometriosis for April 2016. By March after 9 months of trying I had given up hope and, for the first time, did not really "try" - I was stopped temping and using OPKs. Perhaps all the stress of trying to conceive had taken its toll, perhaps the acupuncture worked I don't know but one week before I was due to go in for my operation I got my BFP. This time it all worked out and I had my second little boy at the end of November. I hope my story gives someone hope as after my miscarriage I spent a lot of time looking for success stories, looking for hope.
