I am your typical stalker and have miraculously gotten my FIRST ever true BFP. My journey has been epic and I want to open up about it because this site was where I spent so many years of TWW's.

Background: I am 31, my infertility journey started when I was 19 (2005) and trying to conceive with my then fiancee. I knew something wasn't right then and all the doctors I went to wouldn't listen to me. In 2010 I finally got a DR who would do what I wanted and had a laprascopy, hysteroscopy and chromatubation done. Found grade II endometriosis, my uterus was completely filled with polyps, and my right tube was blocked. He didn't try to open my right tube because I was "so young and would be fine," but he did remove all the polyps. Fast forward to 2016, I am still not getting pregnant. Tried some clomid and AI (using known donors) a few times with no luck. So in 2016 I have a HSG and both of my tubes are blocked and there is a large filling defect. Saline sonogram shows nothing that would cause a filling defect, so weird! guessing it was a cyst that burst? A few months later I have a fallopian tube recanalization done, which was successful, doctor got both tubes open! That was December 2016. Tried all of 2017, had another HSG that showed both tubes still open. Finally got referred to an RE in late 2017 (I am a veteran and working with the VA so it takes forever!). RE said that my left tube actually looks terrible and while technically patent, it doesn't look good. So we try one cycle of clomid and timed intercourse because my follicle was on the left side. She wanted to move to injectables, so while waiting for them to be ordered we did one natural + IUI cycle and no luck. Partner is 39 has 4% morphology, everything else good. Beginning of March I started Menopur injectables (2 bottles) for 9 days (CD 2-10) Triggered with Ovidrel 250mcg on CD 11 with three good looking follicles, two on left and one on right. Did IUI on CD 13 and lots of BD'ing around then so we don't know what worked ;)

1-6dpo nothing unusual - Refilled Menopur RX, just in case (so now I have a ton I don't know what to do with!)
7dpo- tested with FRER, very faint positive (then I remembered the trigger shot, so disappointing!!)
8dpo- tested with FRER very very faint positive, ok trigger is pretty much gone, but now I am out of tests! Order more on internet!!
9dpo- brief wave of nausea while cooking
10dpo- preggo tests arrive in am so I can use FMU - faint, but definite, positive on Wondfo. Now I don't know if it's trigger or real, but thinking real!
11dpo- test with FMU - faint positive - wave of mild nausea again in the evening.
12dpo- test with FMU- positive getting darker!
13dpo- test with FMU still positive! Beta test done = 98!
14dpo- test much darker now
I had big temp jumps at 8 and 9dpo, and it has stayed really high. I use the ava bracelet, which I don't actually recommend if you are doing medicated cycles, it really throws things off! It was totally off for when I ovulated this cycle and when I did my clomid cycle. Was great for the one natural cycle though! I typically have 10-11 day LP, I am taking progesterone suppositories (started 2 days after IUI) even though I didn't have low levels, don't know if it helped considering I must implanted around 6 or 7 dpo.

Because of my tube issues, I have an increased risk of ectopic, so all fingers and toes crossed that everything is where it should be and it sticks! I have been doing acupuncture almost every week for 11months, taking prenatals for years. I think a lack of symptoms and the few waves of nausea had me suspicious, I never get nauseous unless I have a migraine. No AF-like cramps at all, more like constant activity and sensations in my uterus/ovaries and I was really happy, not at all like when AF is due. Boobs are tender now but didn't start until after the BFP, that comes and goes with my typical cycles though. Also extreme tiredness, like taking naps tired, started after the first bfp. I am so thrilled, this has been such a long, emotional journey and just knowing my body can actually get pregnant, it's just the most wonderful feeling.
